Congratulations to George Slupski on Qualifying for the World Long Drive Championships

GolfGym congratulates George Slupski (The Animal George) on qualifying for the World Long Drive Championships to be held in Mesquite, Nevada in October. At the event in Canada, George hit the longest drive of the week and qualified for both the Open and Senior Divisions.

George had been working here at the GolfGym Academy for the past few months and has employed the techniques Coach Joey D has prescribed for him. He is getting stronger and has improved balance.

In an email to us after the event, George said, "Let everyone there know I qualified in both the senior and open division, so I will be at the world finals in both divisions, also had the longest ball of the week even in the young man's division. I hit it 373 yards . Conditions were fair at best rained 2 inches 2 hrs before the event so very little roll." George (old man).

Here are some of George's accomplishments to date:
- 15-Times, World Long Drive Finalist
- Top 10 All-Time Money Leaders (World Long Drive Finals)
- 1 of only 6 Long Drive competitors to reach the Finals every year since RE/MAX has been the major sponsor (11 years)
- Winner of over 15 Professional Long Drive events

Fuzion Golf, located here in Jupiter, built a driver for him to use in the competition.

We will keep you posted on his progress.

We are proud to say that Tommy has played in 8 Champions Tour events and has placed in the Top 10 in 5 of the events. The Principal Charity Classic was the 3rd time he finished just behind the winner this year.

Congratulations to Zach Johnson

Congratulations to Zach Johnson on his win at the Crowne Plaza Tournament at Colonial Country Club this past weekend.

Zach works very hard on his fitness and biomechanics. We at GolfGym are proud to say that he carries a medium resistance GolfGym PowerSwing Trainer in his Tour bag and uses it to warm up before every round.

Way to go Zach!
